Album: Galleries / Grand Canyon

It‘s been 30 minutes now. In my planning for this hike I set up some guidelines for when I would turn back.
1) Reaching the Mile-and-a-Half Resthouse,
2) 30 minutes of actual moving (not counting picture taking),
3) emptying the water bottle at my hip and refilling it from my backpack,
4) any problem that might occur.

Stopping because of a time limit is disappointing, but I was impressed with all the warning signs about the heat and exertion. Still, that point ahead with the people on it looks like it has a really good view. And I can hear a lot of people around that same curve. Since this is the first time I‘ve heard more than one or two people outside of a mule train, I‘ve got a suspicion...
