Just 10 feet more to the trailhead again. That‘s how close that first tunnel is to the top. Of course you have to walk away from it at first before getting to a switchback. I think that I rationed the film pretty well. This is my last picture and reality (the world outside the Canyon) is about to intrude.
A half a day hike just wasn‘t enough. I will have to plan next time to either camp below or at least get a room near enough to the Canyon to be able to take a whole day down inside.
